The position of Waterscape Specialist is held by Aaron Powers, a twelve year veteran of the water feature and horticultural profession who has held several positions in key capacities in the green industry, in both retail, wholesale, and manufacturing.  In 1993-1995, Aaron worked in retail sales/design at The Natural Garden in St.Charles IL.  She was the owner/operator of Prairie Ponds, a residential design-build company that was operated in the Chicagoland area and Pensacola Florida from 1994-2000.  From 1996-2001 Aaron was an independent consultant brought in to train many landscape crews in several states, in addition, she gave regular seminars on pertinent Midwest region environmental issues and water gardening.  2001 through 2003, Aaron worked in the Technical department of Aquascape Designs Inc., the largest wholesale/retail manufacturer/ distributor of watergardening products in the world.  Aaron’s responsibilities at the Inc. 500 Aquascape designs have included quality control coordination, legal and patent securing and coordination, R&D coordinator, contributing author to The Pond Builders Bible, regular contributing author to The Aquascaper, magazine a professional trade journal, and to Aquascape Lifestyles the foremost consumer watergardening magazine in the industry, which has won the coveted quill and trowel award from the American garden writers association several years running.  Another regular part of Aaron’s responsibilities have included several national seminar tours in which she has been the keynote speaker. These seminars have included a 60 plus city build a pond day tours, and most recently, the Aquaclass business seminars, a two day intensive 43 city tour.  In addition, she has been a sought after presenter at several major green industry trade shows. In addition to installing custom water features in the Chicagoland region, Aquatic Artforms is proud to announce we will now be installing all-natural swimming ponds.
